Much shorter list from me this week, because either Jared already used some of the songs I have or I just didn't want to be redundant by using too many from the same genre and/or artist. (Like Jared, I'll insert the player later.) Plus I'm very tired right now.
"Sam's Song" is a live recording on my playlist as opposed to the studio version in the player, but it's pretty similar. For the Samantha Murphy song, click on this link for a YouTube video that includes the song. Please ignore the random footage of a puppy and cat. Seriously. I'm actually really worried that you guys are going to be forever tainted to this song by the dumb imagery, so click to a different tab at least for the first time you listen to the song. It's really quite good.
- "The Universe is Laughing" from Tiger by The Guggenheim Grotto
- "Falling Slowly" from Once by Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova
- "A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow" from A Mighty Wind by Mitch & Mickey
- "Other Father Song" from Coraline by They Might Be Giants
- "Somewhere Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World" from Facing Future by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
- "Silent and Still" from Somewhere Between Starving and Stardom by Samantha Murphy
- "The Ballad of Jebediah Springfield" from Go Simpsonic with The Simpsons by The Simpsons
- "Union Strike Folk Song" from Go Simpsonic with The Simpsons by The Simpsons
- "Sam's Song" from The Summit: In Concert by Sammy Davis, Jr. & Dean Martin
- "The Five Pennies" from The Five Pennies by Danny Kaye
- "The Way I Am" from Girls and Boys by Ingrid Michaelson
- "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear" from Elvis #1 Singles by Elvis Presley
