So far, sooooo good....I am loving the lists from this theme. And, I am excited to share mine. I do have to confess, I am in the process of aquiring some of these songs- I couldnt believe I didnt have them. I will post my brief explanations in the comments- like everyone else :)

1. This is the song which inspired this weeks theme. I remember sitting next to my brother Brian in the back of our station wagon (back when you could actually sit facing backwards) and driving through Oregon (I was like 5 or 6) and listening to this song. It was pouring rain and the whole family sung our lungs out. We still do when this song is revived. Classic.
2. KCTC - an "easy listening" radio station in Sacramento. This song takes me back to driving in the car with my mum. (being the youngest, there was a lot of drive time wherein we had some good times)
3. My dad loves the beach boys. Each song brings me memories of him, but this song in particular reminds me of the hot summer evenings as a little girl. He would put this record on and everything in the world was right. Still feel that way when I hear it...
4. The Mama's and the Papa's were another household staple...Reminds me of him, the fall and good singing in the car....
5. So, in elementary school, my PE teacher (Mr. Smith) would play oldies on his record player when we had "inside days." Everytime I hear an oldie that he would play, I am transported back to that school gym. Oh, yeah, most of us girls had a crush on him...)
6. My sister (who is 9 years older) was my favorite person to hang out with. One year we were driving around looking at Christmas lights in the rich neighborhood and this song was on the radio. We had the best time driving around looking at those lights...
7. Another sister driving moment...she loved this song and would play it over and over on the tape deck. I think that was the only song she played in the car for a solid 6 months. I have her to thank for my country music enjoyment.
8. Dr. Favero. Orthodontic appointment check up. Me in the chair staring at the ceiling waiting for him to tighten my braces. Akward age & mouth metal. Cheesy Christopher Cross. And yet, somehow I will always love this song.
9. High School Church Dances. Enough said. Oh, that and sweaty hands as we danced with wierd boys while our secret crush was dancing with someone else to this heartrenching classic...
10. Oh the Bryan Adams craze. All of my girlfriends were learning to play this song on the piano. We sang it all the time and adored the dramatic chord progression. Yes, a continuation of my awkward younger years..

11. I loved MJ at a young age. I loved this song and would belt it out in my room. Even though I didnt understand what "janice of my sun" meant. Then my dad came in one day, not pleased to hear me listening to MJ and asked how I could be listening to such music. He then went into a long-winded explanation of what the lyrics were and their suggestive nature. Since then I have known the correct lyrics and still maintained my love for belting this song out. And possibly busting out some dance moves too...
12.The Cranberries. Some random wedding reception with friends and a cute guy I had a huge crush on. The yodeling will always remind me of that night and young love...
13. Who cant help but sing "I got me a chrysler, its as big as a whale and its about to set sail" Always made fun of those lyrics, but my girlfriends and I still sung our guts out to it....wait...still do!
14. EFY. Some of my little group would sing this over and over...fun summer experience. I loved those people!!!
15. This song was playing when I moved in to the college dorms, summer term. It became a theme song for the whole summer....oh Rexburg, I have such fond memories of you...
16. Dedicated to Amy, Sara and Christina. This was our song in college...think of them everytime:)
17. Classic summertime song. Nothing specific, just brings me a perpetual feeling of Sac-town summahtime!
18. Right before I went on my mission, my brother Brian took me to San Francisco ... we played this whole album and sang along to every song in harmony! This song was playing as we crossed the Golden Gate. The weather was perfect and that moment is forever attached to the sweet sounds of the Beegees...
19. When this song came out, I immediately loved it. I was living with my cousin Michelle at the time and we played this over and over....we still text or call each other when it comes on the radio.
20. Scary girl, I know, but this makes me laugh everytime!!! Earlier this year, I went to visit a dear friend in LA. We went out one night and had a night on the town - this song was playing and we just couldnt stop laughing and singing. Our night on the town was crazier than this song....

Ha, awesome list. "Everything I Do" TOTALLY takes me back to my younger days, too -- specifically this one time I was cleaning the garage and thinking of this girl I liked while blasting this tune on my walkman. Awesome.

And I totally forgot about songs that reminded me of elementary school gym time!!!!! Hahaha!
